Hi everyone,
First of all, I wish everyone a very happy and healthy Year 2018!
Secondly, before everyone is going into mental meltdown over how to lose the additional “holiday fat” they might have put on over this last festive season, I just want to advise you to stop listening to your friends, family members or work mates, who all will come up with this or that diet they have heard, read about on the news, internet etc!!
Please, just keep it simple and enjoy eating smaller portions and healthier. You will see that your weight might not drop off in a week or two or indeed a month. However, you will feel more energised and get to your desired weight eventually.
Also, may be ask yourself, why do you always put on so much weight over festive times? Why do you overindulge? Are you unhappy with your life? Are you stressed? Finding out the reason for your weight gain is better because it will help you to change the way you think about food. This in turn will provide the basis for you to stay healthy consistently and not only over short periods in your life.
Reading a book might help to identify these issues ( “Skinny Thinking” by Laura Katleman-Prue might be an option for you).
