How to stay positive when injured

Unfortunately I tripped 5 weeks ago on uneven pavement and ended up with a severely sprained left ankle (luckily not broken).

As I am a very keen sport enthusiast, training for and competing in triathlons, this was a big unexpected blow for me. Of course, I did feel down about it.

Never-the-less, in times like these, one has to focus on the positive side. Because of the injury I won’t be able to go for tough runs, cycles or swims.  However, it means I can enjoy focusing on other areas that need improvement such as my core strength (always a good one to keep working on), leg strength, shoulder strength and my flexibility.

So there you go, this will help me to stay positive and focused and I bet it will help me to become a better, stronger triathlete for next year’s season.
